Here we go again, kinda …

On January 15, 2018, I hit the button that launched My Kid The Mid, a blog about life at the United States Naval Academy. My son was halfway through his second year at the United States Naval Academy and I just kind of jumped into blogging about it.

Before I knew it, I had written a book (“Anchored in Tradition“) and was blogging regularly and even doing some podcasts. Little did I know that my daughter (referred to as a “Mid Sib” in Naval Academy circles) would put me on a different path. She had expressed an interest in the military from the time her brother went to Annapolis, but she had a different perspective. I’ll get into that later.

Bottom line, after the arduous application process – to all four major academies – she earned an appointment to her first choice … well, sort of. She’s headed to the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School.

And so, I find myself about to embark on another writing expedition, this time about her journey. As I said in my first post on the USNA blog, “This won’t be comprehensive, nor will it be authoritative. It’s just meant to be fun and entertaining. So thanks for visiting and enjoy!”

Not sure what’s next, but here we go!
